Governor meets management students from NERIST


Itanagar, April 22: The Governor Arunachal Pradesh Gen JJ Singh while interacting and instilling the leadership spirit in the student of NERIST said he was glad to meet the future leaders of the state and the country, reports PRO to Governor.

 Inculcate leadership quality and for that you should have fire in you to do so. Work hard with dedication and determination, the former Chief of Indian stressed. Be professional sound and indoctrinate team spirit in your colleagues and co-workers.

If you have doubts in you, you will have stress and tension. Therefore be confident. Successful person always spread positive quality and ensure stress free environment. At the same time, have diversion like recreation or physical activities. Everybody needs time for recharging, he pointed.

Excellent in academic pursue is for foundation only, learn to think differently and go for surprise package. Be number one or you are dead in today’s competitive world. But you should always remember when your path is righteous, cause is just, victory will be yours.

Exhorting them to make his valuable contributions towards the development of the State, Governor called upon them to be part of ‘Team Arunachal.’

During the interactive session, students abreast themselves of the workings of the Governor and his past experiences as Chief of Indian Army. In lighter vein, Gen Singh said, in army it was 1.2 million personnel and now 1.2 million citizens.

Accompanied by Center Head, Professor R.M. Pant, twenty-six students from Center for Management Studies, North Eastern Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli called on the Governor as part programme conducted under the banner of MaFoN, the Management Forum of NERIST. Assistant Professor of Humanities & Social Science, NERIST Raju Barthakur, the tour was conducted for the students to facilitate them to have interact with a leader par excellence under ‘Meet the Luminaries’ to know about the vision of the first citizen of the State regarding the development of the State. It also aimed to familiarize the students with te leadership qualities as required in real-life situations.
