Governor flagged off motorbike rally
Itanagar, Feb. 24: I am very proud of your activities, said Arunachal Pradesh Governor Gen JJ Singh, while flagging off a motorbike rally organized by Arunachal Bullet Club (ABC) at Raj Bhavan, early in the morning h on Feb 24 last. You are carrying the message very close to my heart, ‘Clean and Green Arunachal’. The ‘Ride’, you are undertaking for various causes are really very dear to every Arunachalee. Your endeavor will definitely inspire others towards our objective of better, cleaner and Greener Arunachal tomorrow, he added, reports PRO to Governor.
Exhorting the riders to spread messages of preservation of environment, wildlife, indigenous cultural and traditions and on tourism, Gen Singh congratulated the highly motivated youths for their spirit and patriotism shown by them in the past expeditions, which displayed the sentiment of the people.
Pointing at the participants from Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh and on being informed that riders from Manipur and Nagaland will be joining-in at Bhalukpong, Governor said it is really a northeast venture and we should maintain the spirit in our every future endeavors.
Earlier, he distributed ‘Team Arunachal’ T-shirts and badges to the participants. ABC organizing committee chairman, Jose Nabam informed that ABC established in 2007, had carried out several expeditions in the past, which includes, ride to Pangsau Pass, reinforcing the Look East Policy, campaign against Rhino poaching and displaying patriotism and sentiment of the Arunahalees.
Highlighting on the expedition, Nabam said this ‘Ride’ aims to carry forward messages for ‘Clean and Green Arunachal’, on protection and preservation of forest, wildlife and culture and on health awareness on AIDS. Along with it, it also aims to promote tourism in the State and educate denizens on hospitality towards tourists and other travelers, he added.
The six-day Ride will touch Bhalukpong, Bana, Seppa, Bamin, Bhayang Tajo, Papu, Passa, Pakke Valley, Sagalee, Nimte, Laptab and Kheel, in West Kameng district, East Kameng district and Papum Pare district.
