Governor meets IPS probationers

Itanagar, November 24: You are the leaders; lead from front and lead with examples, said Arunachal Pradesh Governor Gen JJ Singh, while interacting with IPS probationers at Raj Bhavan here today. Those who are not good leaders, they demand respect but those who are good ones, they command respect from their colleagues and subordinates automatically, he pointed.

Exhorting them to be sincere and dedicated to the profession, the Governor said, as the people, who are responsible for mounding the society along with providing security, you must ensure secured environment for all section of people. Citing certain incidences in metropolitan cities in regards to people of North East, he said, if we want to stop feeling of alienation amongst its citizens, we must not close our eyes to the treatments. You must be very particular about this and ensure it amongst the rank and files, he stressed.

Putting in the picture the people of Arunachal Pradesh and the Frontier State, Gen Singh said, Arunachal Pradesh is geo strategically very important. The people here are very patriotic and the sense of sentinel of the nation is very high. We are example of unity in diversity, he pointed.

Led by Assistant Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad Shrish Jain, IPS, twenty-three Indian Police Service probationers, including ten ladies are on a six-day tour to Arunachal Pradesh as part of their All India Tour programme. The officers are from and Pondicherry. Dirang and Tawang, informs a Rajbhawan report.
