Governor for enhancement of education system at all levels

Itanagar, Jan. 30: Always concerned about people of the State and working for their betterment, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Gen JJ Singh never misses an opportunity to go for his objectives. With HIS Clean and Green Arunachal initiative in place, he now wants to bring in qualitative and quantitative changes in the educational scenario of the state. To drive forward his objective in this direction, the Governor, who is on an official tour to National Capital called on Union Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal at New Delhi on Jan 30 last, reports PRO to Governor.

While apprising the HRD minister on the education scenario of the State, the Governor urged upon him for his personal interest in upgrading and enhancing primary, secondary and higher education in this Frontier State. For the benefit of every Arunachalee, Gen Singh pointed, we have to augment the complete education system in the State in order to improve the Human Resource capability to meet the challenges posed by the major development projects coming up in the State. Moreover, it will also improve the employability of the denizens for the jobs created by the projects, he added.

 Extending an invitation to the HRD minister to visit Arunachal Pradesh, the Governor requested him for sending good quality teachers to conduct educational camps and also impart training to the state teachers.

 Impressed by the Governor’s presentation, Sibal assured to send a high level official team to study the existing education scenario in the State and to take appropriate steps after getting the feedback.

The Governor, who will be chairing the annual conference of the Higher and Technical Education of the State very soon is making efforts to ensure that his participation in the conference is meaningful and will give impetus to in improving the education system.
